Wick Country park makes the national press. Sam Gray aged 13 managed to catch a record breaking Perch for the Country Park and a picture appeared in the Anglers Mail .

 

The lake at the Wick Country Park has been stocked with bream, perch, roach, rudd and tench.

All fishing is strictly limited to permit holders only.

Permits are available from the Park Ranger who will collect money from the waterside. Please have the correct money where possible.

During the winter the waters will only be available for fishing between September and February inclusive and then only between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

During the summer the waters will only be available for fishing between the 16th June through to September inclusive and then only between the hours of 5am and 8pm.

In order to conserve fish stocks and benefit the lake’s wildlife a closed season will be in operation from March through to the 15th June inclusive.

Anglers must comply with the bylaws governing the use of the Park and the Fishery Bylaws issued by the Environment Agency.

Permit prices:

    • £5 per individual and one rod only
    • £3 for juniors and concessions price per person and one rod per   person only
    • £10 per family (1-2 adults and no more than 3 children) no limit on the number of rods.
