WICK COUNTRY PARK WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS - September 13th 2023
This month's wildlife walk took place on Wednesday 13th September. Small birds were fairly active, and a few Swallows were still around. Highlight of the day was a flock of finches overhead near the lake. By a process of elimination, we identified
these as Siskin - a good record for the park. A reasonable year for butterflies is coming to an end (although we saw a Red Admiral in the garden this week!) Nice to see Speckled Wood on the list again. Another moth species for the park list - the Box Tree Moth!
The next walk will take place on Wednesday 18th October at 10.30am, but I will remind you all nearer the date.
